Harry E. Wert of Lehighton was installed as president of the Carbon County Fire Police Association before a group of 45 people attending the session in the West End Fire Company No. 2 hall, Palmerton.

Other officers installed by Pennsylvania state trooper Clyde Stryker of the Lehighton barracks were Jack Hoffman of Lehighton, vice president; Conrad J. Grob Jr. of Lehighton, secretary; Ronald Andreas, Palmerton, treasurer; James Wagner, Lehighton, financial secretary and chaplain; and Elliott Markley, Lehighton, sergeant-at-arms.

Magdalene Steigerwalt and Ernest Guldner of Bowmanstown were welcomed into membership of the association.
