The outlook is now even brighter for a $65 million solar energy project planned for Nesquehoning as the state has warmed up to the plan, giving its developers a $500,000 economic boost.

The 134-acre project, developed by Green Energy Capital Partners of Conshohocken, would build 1,060 solar units just off Route 54, just north of Fourth Hollow and Industrial roads.
The company expects to start construction in May and the solar plant should be up and running by the end of the year, according to John F. Curtis III, chief executive officer for Green Energy.
