A look back: January 27, 1992

Stephen W. Rothwell, administrator of the Carbon County Home for the Aged, Weatherwood, Weatherly, announced today Betty Smith, assistant administrator, has been notified by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs, that she successfully passed the certification examination for nursing home administrators and has fulfilled all state requirements for licensure as a nursing home administrator in Pennsylvania.

As a licensed nursing home administrator, Smith, a registered nurse, is certified as qualified to manage long-term and residential care operations throughout the state.

She lives in Weatherly with her husband, Larry, and their daughter, Amy.
