A look back: July 19, 1960

All pupils under the jurisdiction of the Weatherly Area School District will attend classes in Weatherly Borough Schools starting in September, it was announced last night at a meeting of the Weatherly Area Joint School Committee.

Previously, some of the pupils attended classes in East Side Borough, some in Kidder Township and, until last year, in Packer, Lehigh and Lausanne townships.

Temporary quarters for some high school classes may be required until the new elementary school is completed. Under consideration are at least two churches and the second floor of the Weatherly American Legion Home.
