When it comes to community banking, the Jim Thorpe National Bank is the best in the state.

That’s according to the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers, which awarded the local bank its overall “Best of the Best” award for its community outreach and service.

The award was based solely on the bank’s performance without regard to its asset size and comes on the heels of JTNB’s “Random Acts of Kindness Roving Patrol” held in conjunction with Community Banking Month, said Peter A. Roberts, president and chief executive officer. Employees Craig Zurn, Amy Behrens, Lori Cinicola and Sally Smith headed the program for the bank.
