A look back: June 27, 1966

Summit Hill School Board took exception to a property transfer transacted by the Lansford School Board at a special meeting Saturday morning.

Two weeks ago, the Lansford board turned over the title to its high school stadium to Lansford Borough. Under the agreement, the new Panther Valley School Board will operate, maintain and use the stadium, but the title will remain with council.

The Summit Hill board members said this is in direct violation with an agreement to turn over all property of the four districts which compose the Panther Valley School District effective July 1 and said that Summit Hill will turn its stadium over to Summit Hill Borough if the Lansford stadium arrangement remains in place.
