A look back: March 21, 2006

By demonstrating excellence in health care quality in its wound care management, The Comprehensive Wound Healing Center of the Blue Mountain Health System is the recipient of two national awards presented by Praxis Clinical Services, a leading innovator in the field of wound management.

Praxis recognized the local facility as a Center of Excellence for achieving excellence in five key areas — patient satisfaction, effective outcomes, center growth, referring physician satisfaction and innovation.

The center was also recognized for its achievement of more than 95 percent patient satisfaction for patients seen in 2005.

The center opened in July under the direction of Gary Higgins.
