A look back: March 26, 1997
Congressman Paul E. Kanjorski, who represents Carbon County in the U.S. House of Representatives, today announced a $350,000 guaranteed rural development loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to the Carbon County Economic Development Corporation.
The money will be used to construct a 40,000-square-foot multi-tenant building in the Green Acres Industrial Park in Nesquehoning.
A partnership of public and private financing will be used to construct the building, which will total $1.8 million. In October 1996, Kanjorski also helped obtain a $900,000 grant from the Economic Development Administration for the project.
