The Palmerton Visiting Nurse Association introduced Barbara Bell of Slatington as its new visiting nurse.
She is the wife of James Bell. The couple has two sons, David and Warren.
A daughter of the late Samuel and Eva Engler, Barbara served as nurse for the office of Dr. J. Goldstone for 13 years until his retirement in 1986, and previously was a school nurse in Vestal, New York.
Barbara, who succeeds Anna Hyduke, will spend her days providing care, compassion and love to homebound patients while maintaining an office in the Palmerton Hospital. She serves on the screening committee of Palmerton Meals on Wheels.
