Published May 16. 2018 11:43AM

At a meeting held yesterday in the First Presbyterian Church, Jim Thorpe, the congregation voted to call the Rev. Charles Rawlings as minister of the church. The pastorate has been vacant since the Rev. Kirk Davis left to assume another charge.

Rawlings is a native of West Virginia and will graduate from Union Theological Seminary, New York City, later this month.

He will serve the Presbyterian churches in Jim Thorpe and Lehighton, residing in the latter manse.

He and Mrs. Rawlings are expected to arrive here on June 6, when he will conduct the morning worship service.
