A look back: May 25, 1953
The congregation of the First Reformed Church, East Mauch Chunk, elected the Rev. Theodore E. Preuss, Chicago, to be the pastor of their church here at a meeting yesterday.
Preuss is a student at Eden Seminary, St. Louis, and will be ordained on June 21 in St. Paul’s Evangelical and Reformed Church, Chicago.
He is a veteran of three years chaplain service with the Armed Forces and will be married in St. Louis on June 6.
He will assume his pastorate here on Sunday, July 5.
