A look back: Nov. 1, 1968
The appointment of Dr. Robert R. Frantz to the medical staff at Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton, has been announced by Eugene S. Durigan, president of the board of directors, and Dr. James Farr, chief of staff.
Frantz, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Charles M. Frantz, former residents of the Mahoning Valley, received his medical degree from Temple University, Philadelphia, and served 52 months in the Army Medical Corps before private practice in Philadelphia for 23 years.
Durigan reported Frantz comes to Lehighton with excellent credentials and said the area residents are indeed fortunate to have secured his services here.
