A look back: Nov. 25, 1980

The Ryan Township Fire Company celebrated its 40th anniversary at a dinner dance held in the company hall with 252 people in attendance, representing the largest crowd to attend the annual event.

The address of welcome was offered by William Wildoner, company president, while Curtis Soderberg, banquet chairman, offered remarks.

In addition to Wildoner, officers of the company are Fred Holman, vice president; Bruce Rang, second vice president; Charles Osenbach, financial secretary and treasurer; Joseph Witconis, recording secretary; and Soderberg, assistant financial secretary and assistant treasurer.

George Sanchez serves as the township’s fire marshal.
