A look back: Nov. 27, 1984
The Board of Directors of the Carbon-Schuylkill Industrial Development Corporation, at its monthly meeting last night, named William O’Gurek, Summit Hill mayor, to serve as its next president, succeeding William J. Gardiner of Nesquehoning.
O’Gurek, 29, will be joined by Frank Petrash, Coaldale, first vice president; Francis Lawton, Lansford, second vice president and secretary; Robert Drigan, Nesquehoning, third vice president; and Francis Koomar, Nesquehoning, treasurer.
Attorney Joseph M. Velitsky, Summit Hill, will continue to serve as solicitor, while attorney Daniel Zeigler, Coaldale, will be the assistant solicitor.
