A look back: November 10, 1959
A total of 15 marching units and 16 musical organizations will participate in the annual Carbon County Veterans Day Parade tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. in Summit Hill.
Michael Zielasko, adjutant of the Summit Hill American Legion, will be the grand marshal. His aides will be Wilfred Henninger, Edward Breslin, Jerry O’Leary, Claude Henninger, Lawrence Jachowicz, Earl Henninger and John O’Donnell, all members of the Summit Hill post.
Judges will be state Sen. William Z. Scott, state Rep. John Bonner, Carbon County Judge James McCready, Maj. Kenneth Snyder of the Pennsylvania National Guard and Edward McDermott, Shenandoah High School band director.
