A LOOK BACK NOVEMBER 11, 1932
Bert B. David, superintendent of schools, Lehighton, delivered the Armistice Day address at the American Legion celebration this morning at the Carbon County Courthouse, Mauch Chunk.
The program opened with music by the Mauch Chunk High School Band. American Legion Post Commander Frank X. Engler presided. The Rev. J.W. Post offered prayers.
Engler presented medals to local students Raymond Bott, James Conroy, George Herman, Raymond Rehrig and William Vathis while Mrs. Winfield Solomon of the Women’s Auxiliary presented medals to Catherine Coll, Eleanor Hoelzer, Isabel Kasten, Madeline Lesisko and Amelia Williams.
