A LOOK BACK NOVEMBER 14, 1955

Dr. Edwin Sweeney was elected president of the Holy Name Society of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lansford, during the third annual Communion breakfast and meeting held yesterday at the Lansford AMVETS Post Home.

Frank Mulderick was named vice president and John Coury was elected treasurer. Dr. John Polumbo, Larry Furey and attorney Thomas Durnin were chosen delegates to the Regional Union of Holy Name Societies.

More than 150 members of the society received Communion in a body at the Mass celebrated by the Rev. John O’Neill, followed by the breakfast and a meeting, with Joseph Boyle of Jim Thorpe as the guest speaker.
