A look back: November 6, 1970
Fred W. Manning, president of the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital Board of Directors, today announced Arthur R. Stout, hospital administrator, has been elected a member of the American Academy of Medical Examiners.
“This high honor is conferred only upon those whose special qualifications merit such recognition and Mr. Stout’s direct admission as a member of the academy indicates he has attained certain prominence in this professional society.
Stout was appointed hospital administrator in August 1967. Since then, he has overseen construction of a new wing that expanded the hospital from a 55- to 138-bed facility.
