The Jim Thorpe Area School Board last night accepted with regret the resignation of Nicholas Drosnock as a health, physical education and driver ed teacher. He accepted a position in the Northwestern Lehigh School District.
Also accepted was the resignation of Elizabeth Leonard as janitress in the elementary center, while the board hired Dennis Balliet, 55 Broadway, Jim Thorpe, as a temporary professional employee of the year to teach health and driver ed at the rate of $7,125.
He was also hired as an intramural basketball coach for the 1972-73 school year at a salary of $400 while he and William Kralick will be paid $3 per hour to head a series of Saturday basketball for boys in grades 5-6.
