Action Manufacturing Company, Lehighton’s newest industry, now employs 18 full-time workers, including an inspector. Help is being hired as volume increases.
Philip Maxey of Jim Thorpe advised this morning that as progress at the plant increases additional employees will be hired. It is expected that 30 men will be working at the plant by the end of the year.
Action Manufacturing Company is located on Iron Street in a building formerly occupied by the Lehighton Furniture Company. A small fuse for government purposes is manufactured at the plant, a subsidiary of the home plant located in Philadelphia.
