A look back: Oct. 11, 1965
The Coaldale Lions Club adopted a resolution on the death of a charter member, Sheriff Paul Radocha, during its meeting last week.
Noting “the benefits which our club has derived from the untiring efforts of this dedicated man,” the Lions resolved to “inscribe upon our records this tribute to his memory, that future Lions may know and appreciate his splendid Christian character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and esteem in which he was held.”
Among the club members speaking at the meeting were Harry Hoffa, president; John Puschak; and Walter Macenka, the latter two announcing plans to honor Thomas P. Raymer following his retirement as a teacher and football coach at Coaldale High School.
