A look back: Oct. 19, 1978
Tribute was paid by the Carbon-Schuylkill Industrial Development Corporation to “new” industries brought into the Panther Valley area since it was formed 20 years ago during an “Industry Recognition Night” held last evening at the Edgemont Lodge, Lansford.
In order of their arrival, they are Majestic Lamp Manufacturing Company, Silberline Manufacturing Company, Tonolli Corporation, Ametek-West Chester Plastics Division and Sarama Lighting of Pennsylvania. CSIDC also assisted, to a minor degree, the expansion of the Kovatch Truck Center into its newest facility, the former Conalco Building.
