A look back: Oct. 29, 1971

Irene Mann, R.N., was named Employee of the Year by her fellow employees of the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. Announcement of the coveted award recipient was made last evening by Arthur R. Stout, administrator of the Lehighton hospital, during the fourth annual employee awards dinner held at the Mahoning Valley Country Club.

With tears of joy, Mann proudly accepted the award and a white orchid corsage from the administrator on behalf of the hospital.

Mann is an assistant administrative supervisor at the hospital, where she has been affiliated with it since 1952.
