A look back: Sept. 16, 1966
It was Wilbur Warner Night at the Lehighton Elks last evening. An active member and leader of the lodge for 42 years, Lehighton’s well-known philanthropist and civic leader was presented an honorary life membership pin from the organization.
During his tenure with the lodge, PER Warner served in many offices of the Lehighton and district lodges. He reached the height of his career in the Elks when 12 years ago he was named state secretary of the Pennsylvania Elks Association.
More than 100 honored guests and lodge members attended the event in which Richard Megarall and Sam Braybrook, state president and treasurer, respectively, expressed pride in the work of Warner as an Elk.
