Heather Marie Lawson of Tamaqua, a Marian High School senior, was selected the 1992 Carbon-Tamaqua’s Young Woman of the Year Saturday.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Lawson of Tamaqua, she played a piano selection, “Fur Elise,” in the creative and performing arts segment.
Amy Warnagiris, daughter of James and Theresa Warnagiris of Weatherly, also a Marian student, was named first runner-up while Cami Miller, daughter of Frank and Cathy Miller of Tamaqua, won the creative and performing arts competition, and Amy Subalusky, daughter of Joseph and Constance Subalusky of Tamaqua, received the “Spirit of Young Woman of the Year” honor.
