An elderly Lansdale couple has donated a one-half acre lot in a township development to the Penn Forest Township Ambulance Association.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Malz donated the plot that is situated along Pawnee Trail in the Mount Pocahontas development off Route 534.

Floyd L. Day Jr., treasurer of the ambulance corps, said it is anticipated the lot will sell for about $4,500, which will be used to upgrade the ambulance corps’ equipment.

The sale will be handled by Luther R. Getz, local Realtor, who said this is the first time in his memory that someone donated land to an ambulance corps to be sold.
