Mack workers on the picket line
By 5 p.m. Sunday, groups of Mack Truck union workers were still standing on the side of Route 100, identifiable by their bright red T-shirts and waving signs.
Scattered around the the Mack Truck plant in Lower Macungie Township, workers went on strike for the first time since 1984 this past weekend. The strike follows failed negotiations between the company and union representatives and involves more than 3,000 employees located in Baltimore, Florida or other parts of Pennsylvania.
In a news release, United Auto Workers Local 677 Secretary-Treasurer and Director Ray Curry said Mack Truck council made the decision to go on strike last Thursday. On the union workers’ list of unresolved issues are cost of living increases, shift premiums, job security, wage increases, holiday schedules, healthcare and overtime, among others.
Mack President Martin Weissburg said in a statement Saturday that he believes an agreement can be met.
“We are committed to the collective bargaining process, and remain confident that we will be able to arrive at an agreement that provides a competitive wage and benefit package for our employees and families," Weissburg said.

Good morning. Q;
There is no point in arguing with someone who is too stupid to realize that they have lost the argument, so I will share the facts with people that care to read them. .
I was elected to expose and fix the evil actions of Larry Stern, Wayne Wentz, Stave Holland and Andrew Yenser. Later, Rita Spinelli was added to the list. My task was easy, and we will have it accomplished within my one and only term.

One term, one term only
Will they strike? Not sure.
But will the the feckless five fold on morality issues and accountability? Or will the five attempt.to bully the community and add more taxes to give the staff whatever they want? For those questions I believe know the answer.

I said that 2018 was going to be the year of the strike, it appears 2019 is.
MAGA, vote Trump, and ditch your good for nothing union.
I don't care if they strike. I once stood in the picket line with the UAW while I was employed by Mack (77-89). I've been there sir. I don't care if they shut the local plant down and they ship every last job back to the Right to Work State of South Carolina, because that's what I went through.
If you would have read the post, you'd have seen the point being...
Only with the strong economy under the ways of conservative Republican influence, could they justify such action.
The AFL-CIO union federation contributed $14.6 million to super PACs. The Wall Street Journal reported, organized labor spent historical $$$ on 2016 election, mostly to to Democratic candidates. Please understand sir, I used to drink the Kool-Aid the UAW, USW, and Teamsters. RUKidding? I've been there! Here's what Clinton and his crony's got us... NAFTA. Do you know what that did to my employment over the years? I'm a producer, and my place is manufacturing. Wake up! NAFTA sent all our work away, thank your union idiots for that. Funny how the union couldn't buy us a second Clinton. Bwah ha ha ha,
MAGA... ditch your union, they're only in it for power and money, you'll be left behind.
Do your homework, and think for yourself, that Kool=Aid will confuse you.
Later Chump.
Reality: You're a passive aggressive pussy hiding in a single wide.
Coffins?
You prefer coffins for US Soldiers? How about Comrade joins forces with the Kurds? Get over there and make a difference. Put down your keyboard and get on that plane.
The right to work for a moral employee is also paramount.
So, in my opinion, if Mack is looking for an immoral excuse to move more production, they could just pick a fight with labor, anger the masses and create division. Mack will publically cave to the union and then privately, methodically, move more production to a state with laws giving employers less worker responsibilities.
Unions provide skilled, safe, experienced labor, someday, the
corporately controlled governmentt will break apart the unions.
The corpotatations will just export jobs and not the need and ability for people to read and the UAW agreements created by the unions. When they did these things, the government will be the ones collecting the union dues, sorry taxes. When the government assigns a forced minimum wage, minimum working conditions, and minimum time off, unions suffer. Companies and employees will accept these corporately sponsored minimums and shed the protection of the collective bargaining agreements. Freely the sheep will be relinquishing their rights to create and belong to a union. The unions, begging the government to stop, will collect dues and lobby government, paying to help elect friendly government. The cycle will piss off the union due payers and further disrupt the union management Immorality from repeated re-elections of the same players almost always ensue.
Look folks, there is only one payee in the entire system. The consumer.
Once the system tips, that the producers are out numbered by the freeloaders, or the tax subsided under paid minimum wage worker, we all run out of other people's money.
Every wonder how a church being given 10%, tax free by a small group of people is always flush with assets and cash, yet a government taking 6% of every transaction, 6% on EVERY transaction is running on deficit spending, and is always broke looking for new ways to collect more? Wake up people, elect moral people to one term, remove all incumbents, and make government moral again.
Government agencies should not take what is not theirs, nor give what is not theirs to give, or spend more then they currently have. Remove all incumbents and the people regain control, any thing less is the cycle of lies and tax increases.

The NEW MAGA reality for 2020...... Make Attorneys Get Attorneys.
War?
Has Comrade ever signed a letter to the parents of a fallen US Soldier? Has Comrade ever stood in wait, as the remains of a fallen soldier rolls down the ramp of an Air Force transport?
Does Country Girl have a son serving in Special Ops? We've conducted nearly 8,000 airstrikes in Syria, has Comrade flown any? Who reading this has acted as a shield between the Turks and the Kurds as the Army Rangers did in Manbij ? Hello? Tough Guys... Speak Up!
Lindsey Graham doesn't have a son over there either. Sorry folks, but you really have no skin in the game while you all sit behind your keyboards and talk tough.

Regardless, CNN, under Zuker, is a pile of lies and fake news.
Too many uninformed dolts on this board.
