Mahoning to seek compensation for worker time
Mahoning Township is seeing compensation for worker time spent transporting a brand-new spreader to Fleetwood to be programmed.
The township’s board of supervisors said on Wednesday that while the truck was supposedly programmed in Wilkes-Barre before delivery to the township at the time of purchase, when used the first time, it was clear that the truck had not been programmed out of its static state.
As a result, township workers lost eight working hours transporting the truck back and forth to Fleetwood.
The township will send a letter seeking reimbursement for time lost.
