Mahoning Township supervisors
Mahoning supervisors took the following actions Wednesday night:
• Directed solicitor Tom Nanovic to draft an ordinance appointing the elected tax collector to act as the delinquent per capita tax collector.
• Approved a time extension for the Summit Ridge development to April 30, 2019.
• Approved issuance of earned income tax volunteer credit certificates to 13 members of the fire department.
• Transferred Craig Ziegenfuss from probationary employee to permanent full-time employee with the road department.
• Hired Nick Steigerwalt and Ron Wenrich as part-time winter road crew members.
• Authorized $1,500 in repairs to the 2016 police Ford Explorer steering components.
• Approved Jason’s Tree Service to cut down five trees on township land at a cost of $1,200.
• Authorized the road crew foreman to bid on an asphalt hot box heater through Municibid.
• Agreed to purchase two “road closed” signs to replace signs that were stolen at a cost of $105 each.
