Mahoning Twp. supervisors act on agenda items

Mahoning Township Supervisors took the following actions on Wednesday night:

• The board approved 2019 pension contributions for police and nonuniformed personnel for $83,740 and $19,389, respectively.

• A motion was passed to remove six trees in the township.

• Two driveways on the same property were not given permits to be paved. Both driveways are at least four inches too high and will cause issues when plowing snow. A motion to notify the property owner via first class mail was passed.

• The Township is working on filling potholes on Washington Road and Mahoning Heights Road.

• A motion was passed to hold a township recycling event from 3:30 to 6:30 on Oct. 17.
