Joyce told the court he was the caregiver for the victim at the time of the incident.

Joyce, who is an inmate in the prison on the charge, was sentenced to time-served (58 days) to one year in jail and ordered to attend and successfully complete an anger management course, render 50 hours of community service, have no contact with the victim, pay court costs of $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole.
