Man admits placing nude photos of woman on Facebook page
A Lansford man admitted in Carbon County court to placing nude photos of a borough female on her Facebook page.
He was one of nine defendants in pending criminal cases to enter a guilty plea on Monday before Judge Joseph J. Matika.
Eric McDonald, 36, pleaded to one count of unlawful dissemination of intimate image for an incident that occurred around May 8, 2017.
A woman contacted Lansford police stating that an image of a nude woman was on Facebook without her permission. Police investigated and learned that McDonald got ahold of the woman’s phone and placed the photo on her Facebook page.
McDonald told Matika he was getting counseling for both drug and mental health issues and was attempting to get into an inpatient rehabilitation program.
Matika deferred sentencing to Aug. 20 and told McDonald if he was not in an inpatient facility by that date he had to appear and sentencing would proceed.
