Man charged with stalking, harassing wife

A Walnutport man has been charged with stalking his wife.

Adam Klingenbeck, 36, faces charges on one count each of stalking and harassment.

According to the affidavit of probable caused filed by officer Elias Batihk of the Lehigh Township Police Department:

At 9:38 p.m. July 4, Northampton County Radio dispatched Batihk to Mountain View Drive in regard to a harassment complaint.

Upon arrival, patrolman Philip Mirabile and Batihk made contact with the caller, who said that at about 9:30 p.m., his daughter’s husband was driving by his home in a red Ford Ranger, harassing them.

Batihk spoke with the caller’s daughter, who said that her husband, Klingenbeck, has been harassing her and her family.

She said Klingenbeck has been driving up and down by her father’s home, repeatedly screaming and yelling things at her while in his vehicle.

The caller and his daughter said that Klingenbeck pulled into the driveway of the caller’s home and started screaming, yelling and was flashing a flashlight at the daughter.

The daughter said that Klingenbeck was threatening to bring people to her father’s residence to take their child away.

The caller said Klingenbeck was texting him and his wife repeatedly and harassing them.

The caller said that Klingenbeck was not welcome at his residence and did not want him there.

At 3:43 p.m. July 3, officer Pete Myrthil was dispatched to the caller’s residence for a domestic report regarding the daughter and Klingenbeck.

Myrthil told Klingenbeck that the caller did not want him at his home and was told not to come back onto his property.

At 12:16 p.m. July 4, officer Craig Ball told Klingenbeck that he needed to refrain from going to the caller’s residence because he was not welcomed there.

Klingenbeck is free after posting $10,000 straight bail.

Klingenbeck is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. Friday before District Judge Robert Hawke of Walnutport.
