A Jim Thorpe man has been charged with threatening to kill his girlfriend.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by patrolman Kyle Kocher of the Jim Thorpe Borough Police Department:

At 11:53 p.m. Oct. 2, Kocher was dispatched to the 600 block of Main Street for a caller stating that his grandson, Carter Wolfe, 18, was beating up his girlfriend.

Police entered the residence and spoke to Wolfe’s girlfriend, who said that Wolfe has been abusive to her for some time, and that this wasn’t out of the ordinary.

The victim said she was late to come hang out with Wolfe, which led him to grab her by the arms and strike her, telling her this was her punishment.

The victim said that Wolfe struck her body multiple times, but couldn’t identify if it was with closed fists or open hands. She also had a fresh cut on her nose, which she said was from Wolfe hitting her with a bottle a couple days ago.

The victim said that while inside the cabin next to the residence, Wolfe would continuously grab her, throw her to the ground, pick her back up and do it over again.

The victim said that Wolfe had a knife in his hand and informed her that if she got out of the cabin, he was going to kill her.

She said that Wolfe took the victim’s car key and told her to give him her phone or he was going to slash her tires, or he was going to harm her family.

The victim said she tried to leave, but every time he would push her away from the door and throw her to the ground. She said this continued for about 30 minutes.

The victim said she began to yell in an attempt to get the attention of a neighbor or the grandfather.

She said Wolfe drove away in her car and returned about 10 minutes later. They started arguing, but his grandfather was able to intervene and restrain Wolfe.

Wolfe faces charges of terroristic threats; unlawful restraint; simple assault; unauthorized use of automobiles and harassment.

He is currently incarcerated in the Carbon County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 bail, and is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Oct. 16 before District Judge Eric M. Schrantz of Jim Thorpe.

I hope some people in Thorpe show this fine, young man the same treatment he showed his girlfriend.
Another future "big man" woman beater. He's already headed down that path at only 18. POS.
With all the cell phones and cameras today I'm sure someone being treated this way would have clear cut beyond a reasonable doubt evidence.or not go back there to him... Or maybe not.gotta love (white)trash drama!(assuming they are white if not it's just trashy drama).
