Man exposed himself at hotel

A Monroe County man was jailed on Saturday after he exposed himself at an area inn.

State police at Stroudsburg were dispatched about 7 p.m. to the Baymont Inn, located along Turtle Walk Lane in Hamilton Township, for a report of an attempted rape.

A 32-year-old woman from Tobyhanna reported a male exposed himself to her in the laundry room at the inn where she was employed. She managed to get away and called for help. The male had fled the scene before troopers arrived.

Surveillance video provided a detailed description of the suspect, who was identified as Tyquan Andrew Carter, 21, of Tannersville.

Carter was later located at the Turkey Hill Market in Pocono Township and taken into custody. He was charged with indecent exposure and open lewdness. He was arraigned and placed in the county prison in Snydersville.
