Man fooled into giving out information
A Germansville man was the victim of theft by deception.
State police at Fogelsville said the incident occurred at 12:16 p.m. Feb. 26 on Hunters Hill Road, Heidelberg Township.
Police said someone called the victim, a 23-year-old man from Germansville, and convinced the victim that his identity was compromised.
He was able to obtain the victim’s last four Social Security digits and home address.
The victim suffered no monetary loss.
