Man found unconscious in Monroe drive-thru
A Monroe County man is facing drug charges following an incident that occurred about 7:58 a.m. on July 6.
Pocono Mountain Regional police were dispatched to the Burger King restaurant in Mount Pocono to assist an EMS unit who were tending to a man found unconscious in the drive-thru. The male was identified as James William Brady, 29, of Pocono Lake.
During the investigation Brady was found to be in possession of several controlled substances including heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, alprazolam and suboxone pills and THC packets. A further investigation revealed evidence of drug use and intent to distribute several different types of controlled substances due to the amount and way the substances were packaged. Police said he is facing charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility, both felonies; and misdemeanor counts of possession of instruments of crime, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
