Man picked up on warrant
A report about a suspicious man looking into store fronts on West Broad Street in Tamaqua ended with the man going to prison.
Police received the report at 8:07 a.m. on March 8. William Ladlee, 38, who has no permanent address, was standing in front of 43 W. Broad St., talking on the phone. The officer was aware of an outstanding warrant for Ladlee’s arrest and took him into custody.
During a search a glass pipe with residue, a small rubber container and cotton ball, a spoon with residue, a torch, a syringe and a small bag of suspected methamphetamine was found in his possession.
He was taken to the police station for the Berwick Police Department to pick him up on the warrant. Ladlee also faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
