Man stopped in Weissport faces DUI charges

A 58-year-old man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance following a traffic stop made by state police at the Lehighton barracks at 1 a.m. March 25 on Bridge Street in Weissport.

Police said the man was stopped for a violation, and it was determined that he was under the influence of drugs.

Police did not release the man’s name.
