A 19-year-old man was taken to Geisinger Medical Center, Wyoming, after falling at Hickory Run State Park at about 7:30 Sunday evening.

Assistant Park Manager Mark J. Scarpitti said the man was hiking off-trail and fell.

When park rangers arrived, he was alert and conscious, but complained his legs hurt and he had difficulty walking.

He was brought out via all-terrain vehicle, examined by members of the Lake Harmony Ambulance and Lehighton paramedics, and taken to the hospital.

“His injuries were not life threatening,” Scarpitti said.

Lake Harmony and Albrightsville fire companies assisted.

The man’s name was not immediately available.
