Man whose body found in water missing since March

A Jim Thorpe man whose body was pulled from the waters of the Parryville Dam on Sunday had been missing since last month.

On Thursday, state police at Lehighton said the deceased is Kareem Walker, 32, whose body was located in the Pohopoco Creek.

Jim Thorpe police Chief Joe Schatz said his girlfriend, a resident of the borough, reported Walker missing March 9.

Schatz said the police department’s last contact with Walker was on Dec. 22.

Police have released no other details at this time.
