Marian’s Eckman to play football at Alvernia

Marian High School’s Carter Eckman will continue his academic and football career at NCAA Division 3 Alvernia University in Reading.

Eckman was a three-year lineman for the Colts and will be a part of Alvernia’s inaugural season on the gridiron.

The Lehighton resident played both on offense and defense for Marian, and also participated in basketball his freshman year and in track and field his sophomore year.

The son of Joseph and Cathy Eckman, Carter is involved in Media and Rock Music Ministry at Marian.

He plans on majoring in criminal justice.
