Mario’s Pizza plans its grand opening celebration

One local pizzeria is celebrating new ownership and wants the community to join in as well.
Mario’s Pizza in Weissport will be having a grand opening celebration on July 24.
The celebration is on a Wednesday, which seems a little different compared to other business celebrations.
“We wanted it in the middle of the week when things aren’t too busy so families have something to do,” co-owner Giuseppe Saddemi said.
Saddemi and his co-owner and brother-in-law, Salvatore Locricchio, took over the pizzeria in February.
One large cheese pizza for $7.95 is the food special for the grand opening. Other activities include Tootsie the Clown, Jenny Penny, balloon animals and face painting, which will take place outside on the sidewalk.
Saddemi recommends future customers try the lasagna, and cheesesteaks are very popular.
Drive-thru and delivery options are available.
Mario’s Pizza is open 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
