A fugitive, wanted in New Jersey on at least four active warrants, was taken into custody on Monday in Monroe County.

State police at Stroudsburg and Lehighton assisted U.S. Marshals in taking Nigel Hill, 22, of Vista Circle, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, into custody.

Troopers said U.S. Marshals received information that Hill was living at the address and about 5:30 a.m. went to the home and found Hill inside.

He is wanted on warrants for burglary, resisting arrest, failure to appear, probation violations and fleeing and eluding police.

He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending extradition back to New Jersey.
