McAdoo Police Log
McAdoo Police reported on the following arrests:
• Ronald Hartranft, 40, no known address, was charged with theft from a motor vehicle, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after an Oct. 16 incident. Police received a report of a theft from a vehicle on West Sherman Street. The victim told police two scratch-off lottery tickets were taken. Hartranft was said to know the tickets were inside. The victim spoke with Fegley’s Mini Mart, who said Hartranft was in the store on Oct. 16 cashing in two scratch-off lottery tickets. This was confirmed by camera footage. Police spoke to Hartranft on Nov. 26, and he admitted to taking the tickets and cashing them.
• Sean Anderson, 41, McAdoo, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after a Dec. 11 incident. Fegley’s Mini Mart contacted police after they found suspected drug paraphernalia. Police arrived and found a small metal container with a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine.
A check of the surveillance cameras showed the moment the drugs were dropped on the floor at 5:34 a.m. The man was identified as Anderson. Police spoke with him, and he said he found the container in the alley behind Fegley’s.
