McAdoo traffic stops

McAdoo police have released information on several recent traffic stops.

Ryan Reyes-Negron, 19, of McAdoo was stopped at 11:45 p.m. Sept. 1 for driving a vehicle with no license plate light. He told the officer he had been smoking marijuana about two hours earlier and was given field sobriety tests, which he failed. He refused to have a blood test and admitted that he doesn’t have a driver’s license.

He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a license and for the equipment violation.

Demetrius Greene, 28, of Quakertown, was stopped at 10:22 p.m. Sept. 2 for driving a vehicle with a loud exhaust. While speaking to Greene the officer notices a pill bottle in the center console. The bottle contained a razor blade, an empty plastic bag and a trace amount of marijuana. That led to a search of the vehicle, which resulted in finding a large wooden pipe with burned marijuana residue.

He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and the traffic violation.

Dominic Pete Jr., 21, of McAdoo, was stopped at 11:36 p.m. on Sept. 18 for driving a vehicle with a suspended license plate. He consented to a vehicle search, which turned up a glass jar containing marijuana.

He faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.
