McDonald’s in Hometown to request digital menu boards

The McDonald’s in Hometown wants to upgrade its menu boards to offer a more modern drive-thru experience for its customers.

McDonald’s USA LLC, is scheduled to go before the Rush Township zoning hearing board at 7 p.m. Tuesday in search of a variance from a section of the township ordinance.

It will seek relief from a section of the zoning ordinance to permit four digital menu boards in lieu of the maximum allowed amount of two. Currently, there are three existing; four are proposed.

The McDonald’s is located at 3 Lincoln Drive, on the western side of the intersection of Lincoln Drive and Mahanoy Area.
