Michigan woman wanted on bad check charges in Carbon County
Jim Thorpe Police Department is asking banks and members of the public to be on the lookout for a woman accused of cashing bad checks.
Amanda Marie Dranginis, 33, of Michigan, is wanted on an active arrest warrant from Jim Thorpe Police Department.
Police said that Dranginis cashed two fraudulent checks from Mauch Chunk Trust Company and Jim Thorpe Neighborhood Bank this week. She also allegedly tried to cash two more.
Dranginis has been using a bad Palmerton address, police said.
She was last seen traveling as a passenger in a black Nissan Rogue SUV. Police are attempting to confirm the registration for the vehicle.
Dranginis has a history of cashing fraudulent checks in other parts of Carbon County as well as Monroe, Schuylkill, Northampton and Lehigh counties.
Jim Thorpe Police have charged Dranginis with two counts of forgery and two counts attempted forgery — all felonies, and two counts each of theft and receiving stolen property.
Anyone who sees Dranginis or knows her whereabouts is asked to call Jim Thorpe Police Department at 570-325-4995, or Carbon County Communication Center at 570-325-9111.

Then, our past treasurer, Andrew Yenser, immorally defied the direct lawful order of the government board, and failed to implement the change that was projected protect the district from fraud and earn more interest.
In my opinion the district is better off that Andrew Yenser will not be back on the board. We only have four immoral people left on the board. A moral majority has been obtained with the fall election. God Bless America. A government of, by and for the people has been restored.
Sincerely,
