Minersville woman flips car in Branch Township

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks were summoned to investigate a one-vehicle crash at 4:32 p.m. Friday on Route 209 in Branch Township.

Police said Taylor R. Gerenda, 24, of Minersville, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze northbound when she lost control of the vehicle. It traveled through the northbound and southbound lanes, struck an embankment along the west berm and flipped onto its roof, coming to rest facing southeast in the southbound lane of travel.

Police said Gerenda required an EMS transport. The Schuylkill EMS and Newton and Llewellyn fire companies responded.

Police said traffic was limited to one lane until the vehicle could be towed from the scene.

Gerenda was cited.
