Minor injuries in one-vehicle crash

State police at the Lehighton barracks said the driver of a vehicle that crashed at 4:32 p.m. Sunday in Eldred Township, and three passengers, sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Melinda S. Mojica, 23, of Kunkletown, and three others, ages 8, 10 and 14, all from the Bronx, New York, were hurt in the crash. All of the victims refused a medical transport by the West End Ambulance.

Police said Mojica was driving a 2014 Jeep Compass east on Frable Road (Township Route 375) when she lost control of the vehicle. It crossed the double yellow line, left the roadway and hit a group of trees.
